Are You Being Deceived?

The following Scriptures are from the video and podcast: “Are You Being Deceived?”. Grab your Bible, a pen/highlighter, and notebook. Look up these Scriptures and follow along with Pastors Jonathan and Salli Melilli as they explore the safeguards found in Scripture that guard us from the deceptions of false teachers/teachings that are so prevalent within and without the church today.

1John 2:18

"Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us but they didn't really belong to us, for if they had belonged to us they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us."

2 Timothy 4:3-4

"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say wat their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

Galatians 1:6-7

"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel - which is really no gospel at all. Evidently, some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ."

Luke 11:35

"No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand so that those who come in will see the light."

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workman, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as a angel of light. It is not surprising then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."

1 Corinthians 1:18

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God."

Matthew 5:17-20

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of the pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called "least" in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
