Afflicted but not Crushed!

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

So death is at work in us, but life in you.

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,

as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.

For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

Look up, Child! You will be forever in heaven with your Savior and King very soon! Your life is just a wisp of mist, a puff of smoke, that is visible for a moment and then disappears (James 4:1-4) and then you will stand before God and give an account for your life. Keep running the race. Keep your focus - eyes fixed on Christ. Walk in faithful obedience to His Word and His Holy Spirit no matter what the pain and cost. IT WILL BE WORTH IT ALL when you see Jesus face to face! Run this race to finish well and win the prize because IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU, it’s about HIM. Let Him strengthen you in your weakness as you rest in His ability to work ALL things for the good in your life. You’re not the judge, HE is. Your not the Savior and Redeemer, HE is. So, let Him bring beauty from your ashes. Trust and believe that He will perfect that which concerns you. Just keep your eyes on Him (off yourself) and take the next step of obedience to Christ. You WILL be richly rewarded for being faithful to Him and Him alone. Blessings and peace to you today.
